Danish musician and composer Hannah Schneider shares symphonic alternative single ‘In This Room’.
The cyclical form of the electric sounds directly contradict the repetition of the very important lyrics:
“In this room, the circle ends”
Whilst the melody traps you in a feeling of familiarity, the poetic messaging takes you on a journey of memories. Just like that one smell you will always resonate with a specific moment in time, none of us will ever share the same memory, which is why it is so special!
Whilst this song did not incorporate any kitchen utensils as her previous tracks have done, beautiful piano tones and drums by Øyunn (Efterklang) are a treat to listen to and get lost in.
The single is a title song for Schneiders upcoming album available for us all to listen on the 27th February. I am looking forward to seeing what other emotions will continue to be evoked in the rest of the album!
