Canadian alt-indie powerhouse Loviet adds to a recent string of striking singles with ‘PLUSH.’ Following grunge song ‘STIFFY’ and glam-punk single ‘CHEERLEADER,’ ‘PLUSH’ handles emotional torture head-on, asking the transcendental questions about wasting time on someone who only responds with heartbreak.
“I wrote this song about the frenzy of falling in love and my own experiences and insecurities that being soft is inherently more attractive as a woman. The narrative is a battle of yearning and self-awareness – figuring out what lengths you’re willing to take while trying to stay true to yourself despite the emotional chaos of wanting someone.”
The song features Loviet’s signature gritty sound, with the most fervent bars occurring in the final thirty seconds.
After an accomplished streak of performing at acclaimed festivals across North America, such as Lollapalooza, Riot Fest, and LOUD WOMEN’s own fest in Halifax, Nova Scotia, you can catch Loviet in 2026 at these upcoming tour dates:
- 15 February – Edmonton, Canada – The Starlite Room
- 16 February – Banff, Canada – Melissa’s Missteak
- 17 February – Calgary, Canada – Commonwealth Bar & Stage
- 3 July – Miramichi, Canada – New Maritime Music Fest
