London singer-songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Donna Thompson shares new single ‘What Is It?!’ — another glimpse into her new EP What In The World?!?, out 21 November on PRAH Recordings.
The EP’s almost title track, ‘What Is It?!’ pays homage to ’90s hip-hop and is infused with Thompson’s signature soulful vocals, questioning what defines love.
“I’ve been thinking about the deconstruction of traditional ideas on how my role as a female in a cis relationship has predefined expectations that often don’t align with what loving someone feels like. I can still love you if I don’t wanna wash your underwear.”
