Born in Japan, alya isha has also lived in both London and Cuba, with Indian-Mauritian and Swiss roots; her varied cultural upbringing feeds into a truly unique and ever-evolving sound. Having grown up surrounded by activists from various cultures, alya isha uses music to inspire hope and change. The meaning behind her latest single is that “we can only rise together, we can only build a better world, if we put in the energy, time, care to build it together”.
