Review by Bárbara Almeida

The past year has undoubtably been a tough one, but it’s also fair to say that it still managed to inspire creative minds to adapt to this unprecedented reality and continue to make great music. The result is UK band Nervus’ exciting new single entitled ‘Between The Lines’, featuring touring pal and great friend Erik Garlington of the band Proper. Released under Philadelphia’s Get Better Records, a Queer-run independent label, this track appears on the collaborative album ‘Sunday, Someday’ — due to be out on March 26th, conceived by a group of like-minded friends and musicians from the UK, Pennsylvania, and Los Angeles who began meeting virtually every Sunday from April 2020 onward after the tour they were supposed to go on together was canceled due to the pandemic.

‘Between the Lines’ has the drive of someone who’s ready to fight for a better world where people’s needs are met and communities thrive in unison. The lyrics also encourage us to be bold and jump “outside the boxes that keep us in fear”. If you don’t believe me, take a look for yourself and watch the lyric video.

The single is available to stream on Spotify and you can pre-order ‘Sunday, Someday’ here.

You can also stream the first episode of their podcast ‘Maybe Monday with Solstice Rey’ right here.
