MOXIE DOLLS

MOXIE DOLLS are a punk band hailing from Bristol, UK. Even before the release of their first single, MOXIE DOLLS had already made a name for themselves in the Bristol music scene and acrossthe south-west. Their live performances are loud, raw and energetic.

Their highly-anticipated debut single ‘Pretty Silly Boys’ is about the abject horrors of performative men. Men who care more about their ‘thrifted tees and vintage shoes’ rather than actually caring about women’s issue. They poke fun at the ‘indie stars’ who take themselves oh-so-seriously.

Proudly and unapologetically feminist, MOXIE DOLLS call out these men head on and their lack of willingness to educate themselves and make meaningful change. This wolf-in-sheeps-clothing scenario is dangerous, as boys will do the bare-minimum to seem harmless to woman but not take any meaningful steps to unlearn harmful prejudices, which more often than not will still result in harm done.

The lyrics are delivered with the same grit and punch as 7-Year-Bitch, with riffs and melodies reminiscent of Hole and The Runaways. MOXIE DOLLS are ready to take the stage in a new generation on woman-led punk music, with politically charged music that isn’t scared to demand change.
