Tummyache – the gnarly transatlantic punk crew fronted by Texas-born, Devon-based Soren Bryce – just dropped ‘Stop, Drop, Roll’, and it’s a glorious slap in the face to big government, big business, and the toxic bullshit they pump into our daily lives.

“look at your empire, stop and smell the rose”

There’s a brilliant rawness here, full of jittery guitars, pounding drums (cheers to new recruit Arthur James), and a warped news announcement layered in for maximum bite. But what really hits home is Soren’s own confession: she’s not immune to spiralling either. Panic, flail, rinse, repeat – we’ve all been there.

Now powered up by bassist Linus Fenton and guitarist Bianka Baranová, Tummyache are tearing into new sonic ground, building on the heavy introspection of last year’s Egosystem. If you haven’t already been dragged under by their storm, ‘Stop, Drop, Roll’ is the perfect messy, magnificent entry point.
