Kansas City band Flooding announces new EP object 1 and shares ‘your silence is my favorite song’. object 1 is set for release this summer.

Flooding is fronted by Rose Brown (vocals/guitar/songwriter) with Cole Billings (bass) and Zach Cunningham (drums). Blending slowcore, noise rock, post-hardcore and post-punk, Flooding shifts their sound song to song, refusing to stay stuck in one genre.

After a two year hiatus, ‘your silence is my favorite song’ is a thrilling reintroduction to Flooding. ‘your silence is my favorite song’ explores male fragility with heavy guitars and sharp lyrics.

“Flooding can be extremely personal most of the time, but I like to explore the perspective of narcissistic villain archetypes sometimes, too. It’s fun to pretend to be a piece of shit male rock idol for 4 minutes.”

Rose Brown

Upcoming live dates:
6 May – El Cid – Los Angeles, CA
7 May – Linger Longer – Phoenix, AZ
9 May – Chess Club – Austin, TX
10 May – Rubber Gloves – Denton, TX
