Ever dreamed of starting a band? Got something to say but not sure where to start? LOUD WOMEN is heading to Camden on Sunday 1 November for a free, hands-on workshop exploring punk, creativity and making music on your own terms.
Part of the Up Yours! God Save The Queens programme at the Museum of Youth Culture, Make Your Own Noise: DIY zine-making will be led by LOUD WOMEN founder Cassie Fox.
The workshop is all about the DIY spirit of punk: making things happen yourself, finding your people and creating something that reflects who you are. Participants will design their own zine manifesto for a dream band or artist, exploring their identity, ideas and the music they want to make.
No musical experience needed, just imagination. Scissors and glue provided!
The morning session is followed by How to Start a Radical Festival, led by Decolonise Fest, covering the practical realities of putting on DIY events, from budgeting and fair pay to spotting venue red flags.
