Latvian digital hardcore artist Sabīne Moore has released her glitchy, bio-collabed new single ‘Honesty’ from her audio-visual project Waterflower.
As the video of ‘Honesty’ opens to drag queens suffering through corporate drudgery, the track unravels to the pressure of foreboding office culture and bears witness to the rumormill devouring employees. As relevant as ever, Waterflower angrily paints a picture of the workforce lesson society refuses to learn: empathy.
Satirical music done right; ‘Honesty’ is a hard hitter. Fusing crunchy distortions drenched in bass with electrical plant impulse sounds, Waterflower elevates her lyrical fuck you to the toxic culture of the corporate grindstone. With enough beat for the dancefloor and enough commentary (and screams) for cathartic playlists, ‘Honesty’ is an engaging and versatile track. Introducing her bio-data collab album DigiPlantCore, ‘Honesty’ makes one hell of a first impression for Waterflower.
