UK alt-rock duo Weather Happy announce their debut EP Moth, due 30 October via Easy Does It Records, alongside lead single ‘It Leaks Out’.

Comprised of Holly Carter (former member of BERRIES, vocals and guitar) and Harry Carter (drums), Weather Happy make their debut with ‘It Leaks Out’. The noise-pop track is a striking introduction to the EP, driven by angular guitars, pounding drums and raw emotion.

“This was one of the first songs we wrote for this project. It’s a song about masking and bottling up negative thoughts and feelings until they inevitably find a way out. The enigmatic “corridors” featured in the song represent the journey and impression those feelings make on and around our bodies with the constant need and pressure to reassure everyone that everything is fine. We loved writing this track. We were still working out which direction to take the band but rather than just ease in we kicked it off with this angry, angular, frustrated track and it perfectly reflected where we both were at that very moment in our lives.”

Reflecting on the collaboration and the forthcoming Moth EP, Harry says:

“Holly and I naturally push each other into unexpected places with song writing, and there’s a level of trust between us that means we can follow those ideas freely. Rhythms shift and morph spontaneously into something completely new.”

Holly adds:

“We dug deep for this EP and pushed ourselves and our musicianship to make something we are genuinely proud of. It includes some of the rawest and most angular music either of us have ever written and we really love the direction it’s taking.”
