Leicester-born, London-based songwriter SOFY shares new single ‘Superfriend’, taken from her upcoming EP How To Perform Magic, out 25 September via an independent release.

A nostalgic and heartfelt track, ‘Superfriend’ looks back to the carefree days of summer with friends, watching Big Brother (perfect timing with the US version airing this week). Blending indie with breakbeats, the track celebrates friendships that remain the one constant through a lifetime of change. SOFY shares:

“‘Superfriend’ is written about friendship. Specifically, friendship that anchors you through periods of change, and feels like home no matter how much the world around you feels different. Moving to London from the Midlands has felt like a bit of a culture shock at times, so there’s something really special about friends that have known you through every phase of life.”
