‘Funk for Introverts’ is a must-listen neurodivergent anthem from emerging Scottish gem Megan Black.

Much as it says on the tin, ‘Funk for Introverts’ charts the confusing waters of social interaction from the perspective of society’s less extroverted members – and it is far too relatable! Black draws from her own experience of neurodivergence to really delve into the complex internal struggles rarely appreciated in our neurotypical world – “Was that a joke? Was I supposed to laugh?”, “Remember you gotta keep blinking those eyes”.

Musically, ‘Funk for Introverts’ straddles so many genres that it really has no business working as well as it does! Pop, rock, hip-hop and soul all make an appearance, as well as the titular funk – everything mixed to perfection.

“Visually and sonically, Funk for Introverts occupies its own world entirely.”
