Just when I thought I couldn’t love Grace Petrie any harder, she goes and releases this stonker of a single. ‘We’ve Got an Office in Hackney’ tells Grace’s experiences of the kind of capitalist hipsters who seek to turn protest musicians into “products”.

Grace explains:

“The song is about Music Industry representatives who have tried at various points to wrangle me into some kind of marketable commodity – most of the lyrics are exact quotes.”

Musicians tempted to leave the DIY scene behind and seek out a trendy record label need to watch this cautionary tale! #DIYnotEMI #NeverGoToHackney
