Back in May here at LOUD WOMEN we were pleased to introduce new band, Portland-based White Bike when they released their first single ‘I Like You’. Their second single ‘While You Were Away’ dropped on Friday and it’s another banger of a different sort. Where ‘I Like You’ was a cruising, poppy, funky even-keeled ride, ‘While You Were Away’ is a much more seering, distorted, fuzzed-up journey with echoes of some 60’s and some 90’s classics though as they say of it themselves:

…the new single has a buzzed swagger reminiscent of the Kills or even Band of Skulls

This is also true. Always a fan of male/female vocal combo, the voices fuse and spark off each other nicely to add a further dimension to the track. Listen to this to put the spring back into your step and keep watching them to see what comes next as the band plans to release yet another single next month to complete their debut EP, A++.
