Out today from Brooklyn’s Margot & The Midnight Tenants: ‘I Will Make Some Noise’. A perfect fit for LOUD WOMEN and all who love them, the video for this song was produced, directed, filmed and edited by all women.

‘I Will Make Some Noise’ was recorded with a mountain overlooking the Ashokan Reservoir in the Catskills. (I googled that for you – it’s a mountain range of the Appalachian Mountains, located in southeastern New York – then I fell down a YouTube tunnel of cats with mad skills.) Anyway. Band powerhouse Margot Bennett tells us:

“We got the idea to write the chorus by partially using a vocoder. I was inspired by feminist science fiction from the 1950s/60s and the Radium Girls of the 1920s. We wanted to imbue the production with that sense of otherworldliness. While the original intent of the song was born out of a need to speak out and protest, it took on a different meaning after the pandemic hit and we were shooting the music video. “I Will Make Some Noise” is about taking a leap into self-exploration and coming face-to-face with the challenges that come along with that journey.”
