This is not a drill: a women-led band has been booked to play Reading & Leeds.

And they’re wearing comfortable shoes.

Playing House describe themselves as a “LGBTQI art-pop” band, and they are awesome. They were on our shortlist for LOUD WOMEN Fest, in fact. But clearly we’ve missed out on catching the trio before they find fame and fortune – more fool us, and kudos to Tom Robinson for snapping them up.

PLAYING HOUSE  will be playing Reading Festival for BBC Introducing on Saturday 26th August. If you’re going, be sure to go along to see them and show solidarity.

And also just because they are like a million times better than pissing Kasabian or whatever other ladband is droning on about themselves and doing stupid solos on the main stage.

Catch them on the BBC Introducing Stage at 6:30pm.
