LOUD WOMEN founder Cassie Fox is heading back across the Atlantic this November, after being invited to return to Nova Scotia Music Week as an international delegate.
Taking place in Truro/We’kwampekitk from 12–15 November 2026, Nova Scotia Music Week brings together artists and music industry professionals from across the province and beyond for four packed days of live showcases, conference sessions, meetings and considerably more brilliant music than it is physically possible to see.
Last year’s trip to Nova Scotia was a bit of a game-changer for LOUD WOMEN. We discovered a frankly ridiculous amount of brilliant new music, made friends and connections across the province, and came home determined that we needed to spend a lot more time in this part of the world.
Some of those connections have become very important parts of the growing LOUD WOMEN family. At Nova Scotia Music Week we met Bill Ricky, Burry and MADELINE, alongside so many other artists who showed us just how much exciting music is coming out of Atlantic Canada.
We also met the incredible Heather Harris of Kilmore, who has since become a huge part of the LOUD WOMEN community in Nova Scotia and is helping us make LOUD WOMEN Fest Halifax happen.
That first visit planted a lot of seeds. Since then we’ve been building our community in Nova Scotia, making new friends, working with local artists and creating connections between the scene there and the wider international LOUD WOMEN network.
So returning to Nova Scotia Music Week this November as an invited international delegate feels particularly special: a chance to catch up with familiar faces, discover a whole new crop of artists and keep building those connections across the Atlantic.
And there’s already plenty on this year’s showcasing lineup that we’re excited about. ANGEL GIRL, Bill Ricky, Burry, Good Dear Good, Luna Red and The Boojums are among the artists announced so far, with loads more to discover when we get there.
For LOUD WOMEN, trips like this aren’t just about watching bands, although obviously we intend to do an unreasonable amount of that. They’re about making the connections that help independent artists move beyond their own cities and countries, and creating genuine routes for artists to play, collaborate and find audiences internationally.
Last year’s Nova Scotia Music Week proved exactly how powerful those connections can be. We can’t wait to see who we meet this time.
