den of dog

UK electro-pop duo den of dog‘s new single ‘Make Me’ pairs dreamy synths with huge guitars and enough romantic intensity to power a small town.

Written to showcase the band’s rock roots, ‘Make Me’ wraps an infectious 80s-inspired riff around soaring lead guitar and Olive’s effortlessly melodic vocals. The result feels bigger and bolder than previous releases without losing the electronic textures that make den of dog distinctive.

Lyrically, the song dives headfirst into an all-consuming romantic obsession. There’s no holding back here. Every element of the track is dialled up, from the yearning vocals to the dramatic guitars, and that’s exactly why it works.

The band have described ‘Make Me’ as a chance to embrace their rock influences for the first time, and it’s a direction that suits them brilliantly. The guitars add weight and urgency, while the hooks remain firmly lodged in pop territory.

A song about losing your head that sounds like it might have lost its own in the recording process. Love it.
