Amsterdam indie favourites Pip Blom are marking ten years as a band with PB10, a new EP that revisits songs from across their catalogue, starting with a freshly reworked version of ‘Hours’.

Anniversary releases can be a bit hit-and-miss. Nobody needs a note-for-note remake of a song they already own. Thankfully, Pip Blom have taken a different approach. Rather than recreating the original, ‘Hours (2026 Edition)’ reimagines it through the band’s current synth-led sound, while keeping the heart of the song intact.

“It was really interesting to go back to these songs from where I am now,” says Pip. “The original versions probably wouldn’t end up on an album we’d make right now, but they still feel very much like Pip Blom songs at their core.”

‘Hours’ is the first of four anniversary releases that will make up PB10, with new versions of ‘School’, ‘Babies Are a Lie’ and ‘The Shed’ to follow over the summer. The celebrations will culminate in two special anniversary shows, including a London date at The Dome on 22 September and an Amsterdam show at SkateCafe on 24 September, both featuring the return of former drummer Gini Cameron.

Ten years in, Pip Blom are still finding new ways to surprise us.
