Swiss electro-wave artist Odd Beholder (Daniela Weinmann) releases her latest album Honest Work — our LOUD WOMEN album of the month.

Honest Work is a concept album about modern working life, burnout, and platform capitalism, produced with Douglas Greed. Across the album, threads of trip-hop, drum ’n’ bass, 2-step garage, and industrial textures build a soundtrack for late-night shifts, inbox overload, and the slow drift into Excel purgatory. Weinmann explains:

“My songs ask about the agreements we make with our jobs. And about the possibility of an ‘honest profession’ in a world characterized by overconsumption, competition and market logic, where ecological balance, human rights and peace between countries are currently at stake.”

Honest Work is ultimately a reminder to lock in, reconnect with yourself, and remember why you’re doing the work in the first place.
