Norwegian indie-pop group Nansy share ‘Portrait Of A Summer’s Day’, taken from their long-delayed full-length debut album Need You Around, out 29 May via Saiko (Norway/World) and Fastcut Records.
After releasing one EP, Nansy split up and reunited 25 years later to record their debut album. ‘Portrait Of A Summer’s Day’ captures the beauty of a simple summer day while building anticipation for Need You Around. Vocalist Anita Nansy Valderhaug shares:
“’Portrait Of A Summer’s Day’ takes me back to when I lived in Oslo, cycling around the city carefree and newly in love, hanging out in a park with friends all day before drifting through Oslo’s now-disbanded indie bars, listening to bands like Saint Etienne and The Sundays, without a care in the world.”
