Sydney trio EGOISM return with ‘It Takes Two’, a vibrant indie track driven by bright guitars and a throwback early 2000s sound. Exploring impulse and desire, the song captures the thrill of taking a risk and giving in to lust.
Featuring co-lead vocalists Scout Eastment (bass) and Olive Rush (guitar), alongside drummer Adam Holmes, EGOISM describe themselves as “Just a Local Band from Sydney”.
Eastment shares the following about ‘It Takes Two’:
“I used to write lyrics in a very overt way, like a narrative, but this song is more abstract. I tried to capture a moment of impulse where two people decide to hook up despite their history. The music and lyrics are about the thrill of taking a risk and succumbing to lust.”
Upcoming live date:
30 October – Adelaide University (with The Rions)
