Bristol trio Masca release their debut album Love Letters.
Originally formed during lockdown in 2021 by Christina Maynard and Jack Hamilton, Masca began as a duo before bassist Ben Holyoake joined to complete the lineup.
Love Letters is a heartfelt and bold declaration of devotion — both to Christina and Jack’s son Cassidy, who was part of the journey from the start, through pregnancy, morning sickness and all, and to music itself.
Speaking about the album’s title track and its wider message, Christina shares:
“It’s a love letter — along with all the other songs we’ve ever written — to music. It also details our worries and the feeling that we’re running out of time to be able to continue with music.”
