Hailing from The Hague (Netherlands) indie rock band Platonic Smile release new single ‘p(r)etty smile’, built on jangly guitar lines and dynamic shifts the track balances bitter sweet tension in capturing that uneasy space between opening and crossing boundaries.
“It’s about being lured in by attention and kind words, only to realize the other person was never truly invested. You’re left feeling exposed, like you made yourself small for someone who barely showed up. Classic situationship kind of stuff.”
Building on the momentum of their debut single released last year, with this latest release the band sets out to reach a wider audience and build on their electric live shows to date. Plans are ahead for a p(r)etty tour in late spring/summer 2026.
