Last year’s LOUD WOMEN Fest Naarm/Melbourne sold out, so of course we’re coming back.
On Sunday 22 November, we’re taking over Bergy Bandroom in Brunswick with 12 brilliant bands from Naarm, across Australia and the UK.
This is the Naarm/Melbourne lineup:
Bitch Eyes + Eris and the Disciples + funkytown fish + I, Doris + IRKED + Operation Karma + smallways. + Second Idol + Terra Rouge + The Maggie Pills + Vipersnatch + Whoroboros
It’s a properly mixed LOUD WOMEN bill too. There’s the enormous bass-and-drums sound of Naarm/Djilang duo Bitch Eyes, all-fem queer riot-grrrl energy from funkytown fish, three sisters making furious alternative rock as Operation Karma, the heavy electronic doom and performance art of Eris and the Disciples, and queer pop-punk grit from Terra Rouge.
Coming in from elsewhere are Gadigal/Sydney punk-art duo smallways., feminist punks Vipersnatch from Darumbal Land/Rockhampton, Meanjin riot-grrrls Whoroboros, and Gadigal/Wangal four-piece Second Idol. Then we’re throwing UK troublemakers IRKED and I, Doris into the mix too.
And of course there’s The Maggie Pills, right at home in Naarm and doing double duty here: playing the Fest and helping make the whole thing happen.
This Fest has been built with Ebonnie of Daddy Issues and Delfi Sorondo of The Maggie Pills.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing the artists properly, sharing new music and generally giving you plenty of reasons to arrive early and watch absolutely everyone.
Last year Naarm sold us out. Let’s see what you can do this time. 💋
