Sage is bringing her uncompromising brand of ‘Bitch Punk’ to not one but TWO LOUD WOMEN Fests this November!
Based in Naarm, singer and guitarist Sage Hegarty makes ferocious, politically charged punk alongside drummer Jareth Hammet. Their music takes aim at misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, capitalism and the many ways people are pushed to the margins of society.
Sage’s debut single ‘Give The Girls Guns’ confronts violence against women, while ‘Vagrant’ channels the experience of being treated as an outsider into a defiant punk anthem. Her self-titled EP arrived in March 2026, followed by debut album Free Brainwashing, which brings together songs written over a decade of growing up, questioning the world and finding her voice.
Recent tracks including ‘You Live A Lie’, ‘Proles’ and ‘Ascendent No More’ continue that fierce political approach, with sharp guitars, relentless drumming and plenty to say.
