Chicago-based singer-songwriter Savanna Ruth shares her new single ‘In Your Orbit’, from her upcoming debut album The Baseball Diaries, out 23 October via Easy Does It Records.
In Your Orbit explores the pull of a fleeting connection, drawing two people into each other’s orbit before distance and circumstances send them back into their own worlds. The track taps into the album’s themes of love, longing, and attachment.
“It’s about a magical date/summer fling I had with this lovely person, who was actually the first date I had after over 5 years of being with my ex. This was the very beginning of us opening up our relationship and trying non-monogamy. I was incredibly lucky to have had this enchanting first date and then we ended up seeing each other once more but sadly she was only in Chicago on business that week and had to fly back the next day. But we kept in touch and now are good friends.”
