Rising Brighton grunge-pop star Girl Apocrypha shares ‘Like Adam Would’, the soundtrack to our Friday.
Merging grunge-rock and synth-pop with sparks of shoegaze, alternative rock and electronica, Girl Apocrypha is a dark star full of promise, grit and gloss. On ‘Like Adam Would’, lust meets the holy, with the vibe of Nine Inch Nails meets Soundgarden, while modern electronica pulses throughout the track.
“I wrote Like Adam Would from a place of total infatuation, a feeling so intense I could only bear to explain as biblical. Holy. It’s seeing scripture in a person’s words. Creation in their face. It’s knowing that my tunnel vision ends just millimeters away from your outline and making no attempt to expand it because why would I want to look at anything other than you?”
