Brighton quartet ladylike release their debut EP It’s A Pleasure Of Mine, to Know You’re Fine via Heist or Hit.
Composed of Georgia Butler (vocals, guitar), Spencer Withey (vocals, guitar, synth), James Ely (drums), and Archie Sagers (six-string bass), ladylike weave folk influences with raw, unfiltered textures.
Recorded with producer Ali Chant, It’s A Pleasure Of Mine, to Know You’re Fine explores themes of regrowth, renewal, and persistence. Captured mostly live, the EP carries a more intimate feel, with ladylike building their songs patiently and circling back to its central themes.
“We’re constantly writing and rewriting what we play live. Creation is a long, methodical process of constant tweaking, performing and arranging until we arrive at something we’re really proud of.”

Released in the days leading up to the EP, final track ‘Sour Carol, I’ ties everything together with a direct, unflinching message.
“Sour Carol, I’ is quite direct in message, compared to the rest of the EP.

It’s for someone.
It feels good for it to exist outside of the live show, and it’s fitting to head into EP release with lyrics that title the project.”
