Described by fans as having a “huge stage presence even on the smallest stage”, Honey Revenge rightly lived up to this with sky-high energy, catchy pop-punk beats, and a smile on their faces. Honey Revenge came to have fun with their fans and delivered all that and more.
Hailing from LA, California, Honey Revenge brought the crisp, balanced sound of their studio work, guitarist Donny Lloyd spinning dynamically while vocalist Devin Papdol connected to the crowd with a singalong to their catchy hit ‘Habitual’, cheering on the multiple crowd surfers, and demanding a wall of death during their 2025 single ‘Poison Apple Baby’.
The dance pits spread all the way to the back of the venue and felt most powerfully during Retrovision’s opening track ‘Airhead’, Honey Revenge put on a show that you can dance, mosh, or sway to. It’s easy to spot their fans, sporting their recognisable purple bee motif in a sea of black tshirts (or one fan dressed in a full bee onsie), but given how everyone was dancing it seemed every single person there was a fan.
From Devin jumping into the crowd to sing with the fans, to Donny skipping round with touring bassist Lexi Schnell, while touring drummer Matt Arsenault kept the fast-paced beats pumping, Honey Revenge were engaged with each other to create a fluid team sound.
It’s time to give the crowns to the new pop-punk royalty.
