Musician Liza Plants releases her latest EP, That Wasn’t Love, via She/Her Records.
Originally from Wisconsin and now based in Czechia, Liza pushes her sound into rawer territory, evolving from bedroom pop into gritty garage rock. In addition to music, she explores painting, photography, and creative writing.
That Wasn’t Love unfolds as a personal journey through themes of abuse, abandonment, and even ornithology, marking a bold step toward experimentation and emotional openness. Anchored by candid, unflinchingly authentic lyrics, the EP captures Liza fearlessly confronting her past and moving toward her true self, watermelon and all.
