“‘Darling’ is the most typical love song you’ll find on the album, written with hearts in my eyes, full of optimism about life and the future. It’s a somewhat delusional place that we can be in for a moment, where we think that everything will just work out and love will prevail. It’s like floating between two storms, momentarily forgetting all the hardships and difficulties and just focusing on how sweet and warm it can feel to be in love.”
