Get your 80s fix with London-based gothic five-piece Dog Race, whose new single ‘Return The Day (Colours)’ offers a fresh take on nostalgia.

Fans of the Cure and Bauhaus will be drawn to the familiar sonic textures. As the band’s vocalist Katie Healy says about the themes on their upcoming debut EP Return The Day (out 6 June on Fascination Street Records):

“[It’s] A soundscape born from sleepless nights, intrusive thoughts, and the quiet war between the mind and the world around me. Each track pulls at the threads of cultish beliefs and everyday expectations, exposing the weight they place on someone already battling inner turmoil.”
– Dog Race vocalist, Katie Healy

If the 80s and 90s brought us the kings of personal angst (Radiohead, The Cure), I’m excited to see Dog House’s take on our tumultuous decade.
