Brighton-based Opal Mag shares dreamy new single ‘I Don’t Like You, but I Love You’.

‘I Don’t Like You, but I Love You’ is a lovely emotionally charged slice of jangle pop, which evokes 90’s bands like The Sundays. Combining dreamy, atmospheric fuzzy sounds with raw, confessional lyrics.

“This slow-burning track explores the emotional tug-of-war between love and frustration. It’s about the internal struggle of being in love with someone, yet disliking their actions and self-sabotaging. ‘I Don’t Like You, but I Love You’ is about the push and pull of wanting to stay in a relationship but losing yourself in the process.” – Opal Mag

Since playing LOUD WOMEN’s Brighton Minifesto last year, Opal Mag has been getting praise from key indie platforms (So Young Magazine). She has also received international airplay from BBC 6 Music (Emily Pilbeam), KEXP (Cheryl Waters), and Triple J (Colby Robertson).

Opal Mag is readying several further releases in the coming months, as her live plot continues to develop. I look forward to hearing more.
