Irish composer and songwriter Lōwli returns with her most captivating song yet, ‘Undone’.
Weaving classical and folk influences with lush dark-pop, Lōwli manages to create a sound that is both immensely cinematic yet intimately personal. (Think Agnes Obel soundscapes meets Lisa Hannigan’s close vocals.)
Moving between elegant piano and sweeping strings, but always led by Lōwli’s hauntingly stunning voice, ‘Undone’ feels like a journey from beginning to end.
Speaking of the single, Lōwli says
“it’s a song about those moments in life when things seem to be moving backwards, and progress begins to unravel”. We certainly feel this pensive quality, but there is also a light hopefulness as she adds that “the feeling is temporary, that things will always change.”
‘Undone’ is out now on VETA records, with Lōwli’s debut album due for release later this year.
