Dublin’s The Amniotics just dropped a dreamily beautiful alt rock anthem ‘Mulholland Drive’ – an instant favourite and our . This band are top of Team LOUD WOMEN’s ones to watch list, and we’re super-excited to have snapped them up for this year’s LOUD WOMEN Fest!

“I wrote the song when I was 20. I was struggling and was particularly struck by the movie. What inspired me to write the song was a Naomi Watts interview I’d read, a specific line about how before she’d been cast for the movie she used to imagine driving off Mulholland Drive while living in LA. Something about the sentiment spoke to me, being driven mad by longing – whether it be for another person or a passion or anything – and I wrote a song around it. It’s the oldest song on our setlist. People who’ve liked the song always end up having different interpretations of it, so at this point I have to do a David Lynch-ian sign-off of ‘It’s whatever you want it to be’.” – Rebecca, The Amniotics
