Out today from Brighton’s favourite alt-rock dirty-pop powerhouses Shallow Honey, ‘Breakup Breakdown’ is our !

Channelling an all-consuming heartbreak with stadium-ready fuzz driven rhythms, face melting riffs, and frontwoman Rai [of sunshine]’s legendary pipes, it’s a powerful late night soundtrack.

‘’Breakup, Breakdown explores the pure insanity a breakdown in a relationship can induce. As we grow-up the world becomes familiar, samey and dull; a break-up is still one of those few experiences that can cut deep, connecting us back with our teenage selves. It’s that sickness in the depths of our stomachs that feels like it will only dissipate if we can just rip out our guts and become reborn or reshaped into someone new. Dye our hair. Change our bodies. We’re like tiny broken caterpillars, seeking ways to hatch into butterflies – show-off our brand new selves in a desperate attempt to claw our loved one back’’.

Shallow Honey promise us their debut EP Lost Bodies this summer.

Shallow Honey play our LOUD WOMEN Minifesto in Brighton – 1st June at Daltons, right on the beach!
