London singer, songwriter, and producer Amaroun released a chill cover for the new year, ‘Just Be Good To Me’ – a cover of the upbeat and electric track from The S.O.S. Band.
Amaroun made the cover her own by flipping the vibe and turned this into a soothing and reflective track.
“I love strong and catchy melodies which made it easy to push this song somewhere else. I remember watching the original track by The S.O.S Band playing live on Soul Train and the performance and vibe was electric, upbeat and vibrant. I wanted to do the complete opposite and create a cinematic hypnotising feel.
I produce all my own music, using guitar, synths and all my many music toys. The recording of this track wasn’t planned; it was a meandering thought and an earworm that I recorded at home alone in my studio. I wanted the cover to match my reflective mood at the time.
I created the track for those that need to be soothed into the new year. Perfect for the reflective.”
