“This song is about feeling like I don’t fit in as non-binary person dating or being friends with cis people. There’s a lot in here about queer time and how cis heterosexual people have these set milestones in their life that we don’t or can’t experience. Pair that with being not sure how accepting someone really is and it can be quite scary and lonely especially when dating. This is something I almost never hear written about and I hope people can find some comfort in this song. The sonic inspirations came from listening to emo inspired artists new and old, from Fall Out Boy & Paramore to newer artists like Nothing,Nowhere.”
