“I wrote this song a couple of years ago after hearing about that white woman who called the police on a black family minding their own business having a barbecue, and then it grew into a song that was also about reactionary people on social media. Since then the rise of the ‘Karen’ has escalated and people in general seem to have a ridiculous sense of entitlement and violence in the ‘opinions’ they post online.”
