We’re ridiculously excited to announce that Gaydar have joined the lineup for LOUD WOMEN at Rebellion Festival London Preview at The Windmill, Brixton on Sunday 2 August.

The Newcastle queer punk trio have played for LOUD WOMEN in London before… and, frankly, we’ve still not recovered. Now they’re coming back for more, bringing their gloriously chaotic blend of danceable punk, queer joy and political fire to what is shaping up to be an absolutely stacked lineup.

Here’s who’s playing:

  • Breakup Haircut – London’s sometimes-pop, sometimes-punk quartet write irresistibly hooky songs about breakups, social anxiety, bi-erasure and surviving capitalism, wrapped in jangly guitars and infectious choruses.
  • Gaydar – Newcastle’s in-your-face queer punk trio channel pure queer rage into danceable beats, punchy riffs and brutally honest, satirical songs that tackle the absurd and unjust.
  • I, Doris – LOUD WOMEN’s menopausecore pop-tart kitchenpunk house band, serving feminist anthems, sharp wit and songs about ageing disgracefully, tea and smashing the patriarchy.
  • Nell Davies – West Cornwall’s one-woman riot grrrl band, crafting self-produced bubblegum punk full of hooks, humour and heart from her home studio on a smallholding.
  • Mona Freaka – Teenage punks from New York City bringing fearless songwriting, huge melodies and the kind of explosive live energy that’s already turning heads far beyond their hometown.
  • Whoremones – Los Angeles hardcore punks blending heavy riffs with raw intensity and uncompromising attitude.
  • Witch Spit – Adelaide’s self-described “feral girl” punk duo, bringing chaotic feminism, riot grrrl energy and absolutely zero fucks

Whether you’re heading to Rebellion or not, this is your chance to catch seven incredible bands from around the globe in one legendary grassroots venue before the LOUD WOMEN Stage takes over Blackpool the following weekend.

See you down the front.
