Dublin-based Ukrainian indie-pop artist SHY shares new single ‘Out of Dream’, taken from her upcoming EP Sorry, Teacher.
Folk-inspired guitar blends with banjo and a heartfelt indie-pop glow on ‘Out of Dream’, which explores themes of uncertainty, longing and the challenge of not dwelling on life’s unanswered what-ifs.
“I have been far from home for four years now, and it turned out there is a great deal of grief you go through when thinking about the possibilities that might have been but did not happen. The song also carries a sense of hope and healthy optimism, essentially saying that there is always something that drives and inspires you – even when it feels like there is nothing left to say in art or in life.”
