Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter V Torres announces sophomore album Woman, set for independent release on 1 September. Alongside the announcement, V Torres unveils the title track with a cinematic music video.
‘Woman’ is an anthem for resilience, acknowledging the pressures and expectations placed on women. What begins as an exploration of an inner struggle expands into a universal message.
“When I wrote ‘Woman,’ it felt heavy. The line, ‘my work never ends, it just starts over and over again,’ felt so fitting to how I was feeling at the time — and honestly, most of the time. But when I started playing it live, women kept coming up to me afterward saying, ‘You wrote this song for me.’ That’s when I realized it had become something bigger than my own story.”
