Eevie Echoes & The Locations

Brooklyn queercore punk band Eevie Echoes & The Locations share their new single, ‘Dead Elders’.

The band, well known for their high energy and politically driven performances have had a whirlwind year taking stages big and small by storm (including 2025 Loud Women Fest – NYC Edition). A solid choice for those who love Rancid, New York Dolls, Laura Jane Grace, and The Bobby Lees their sound is raw DIY grit that connects with the heart of the music community.

‘Dead Elders’ acts as both a call to action in the face of a society that is rapidly becoming more dangerous for LBGTQIA+ individuals and an emotionally charged homage to those who marched before us. Opening with the infamous “Darling, I want my gay right’s now!” speech by Marsha P. Johnson, the lyrics immediately recount the current struggles of queer individuals. Eevie’s signature gravely vocals are backed by the rest of the band’s wild energy. The guitar solo in the middle adds flair to a steady bassline and crashing drums creating an upbeat fight song.

Anthems like ‘Dead Elders’ are amazing for giving people the power to rise up in a world that seems dedicated to pushing them down. It’s fearless, fun, and doesn’t shy away from the truth. Eevie Echoes & The Locations refuse to be silenced, and encourage their fan base to speak up as well. There’s no doubt that they’ll go in the history books for this new generation of punk.
