Italian-Swiss harpist and composer Kety Fusco is revolutionising the harp in today’s music scene. Pushing sonic boundaries with unorthodox techniques (not limited to recording the harp underwater), Fusco is creating new contexts and musical worlds in which the harp can exist, thrive and experiment. With her new album BOHÈME set for release on 19th September, stunning single ‘Resistance’ has given us a taste for what’s set to be ambitious and completely unique.
‘Resistance’ builds in intensity, with Fusco’s trickling, hypnotic harp melodies front and centre. Starting in a light and airy audio space, a sub soon hits to lead us into a deep, textured sonic exploration. Most incredibly, every sound in this track was created exclusively from her harp: manipulated and reshaped into a new audio experience.
Kety Fusco is fearless; an artist that paints on a boundless canvas. Her album is sure to be something truly special – keep your eyes peeled for its release on 19th September via A Tree in a Field Records.
