Empty Banner introduce themselves with the upbeat debut single ‘Dead to Me’, a track inspired by one band member’s absent father and the anger and confusion surrounding that relationship.
The band explain:
“For us, this song is for all the bad men in the world who shirk their responsibilities and feel they can get away with it without consequence.”
An infectious live favourite, ‘Dead to Me’ channels that anger into a punchy indie-rock track. Influenced by Paramore, with a sound that will appeal to fans of Hole and Beach Bunny, Empty Banner bring plenty of energy and attitude to their music.
Describing themselves as “not just a girl band”, Empty Banner are already building a following in Hull and beyond.
