Some bands join a LOUD WOMEN lineup. Some end up becoming part of the family.

The Dollheads are very firmly in the second camp.

The Las Vegas sibling trio of Angela, Samantha and Austin Avery first came over to play LOUD WOMEN Fest London in 2023. They were already ridiculously tight then, but what’s happened since has been quite something to watch.

That first LOUD WOMEN trip helped introduce them to a whole new bunch of people over here. The following year they played the LOUD WOMEN stage at Rebellion Festival, and by 2026 they were killing it on the enormous Empress Ballroom main stage.

From our little Fest in London to that room in Blackpool in two years. Tiny bit proud Aunties here.

And now, obviously, we had to get them back for our first ever LOUD WOMEN Fest Colorado.

Meet The Dollheads

Angela handles guitar and lead vocals, Samantha bass and backing vocals, and Austin drums. The siblings have been making music together since they were kids, with punk, pop-punk and straight-up rock ’n’ roll at the heart of what they do.

Their debut album What Teenage Angst? arrived in 2022, followed by the Et Cetera EP in 2023. Then came a rather important Punk Rock Bowling appearance in Las Vegas, where they caught the attention of Fat Mike.

That connection led to ‘Teenage Runaway’, released through Fat Wreck Chords in 2024, and then to their second full-length album Adol-essence, released through Fat Mike’s Bottles to the Ground label in August 2025.

Eleven tracks of fast, ridiculously catchy punk rock, including ‘See You in Hell’, ‘Adol-essence’ and the magnificently snotty ‘Burger King Is Hiring’.

Watch The Dollheads

‘Burger King Is Hiring’ is essentially the perfect response to people sitting behind keyboards telling young musicians they’re going nowhere.

Naturally, it comes with a video.

And if you haven’t seen ‘Teenage Runaway’ yet, get on that too. It’s their Joan Jett love letter, released through Fat Wreck Chords, and features a cameo from Fat Mike.

The whole album is up on Bandcamp, so have a proper listen and support the band directly:

Back with LOUD WOMEN

There’s something especially lovely about having The Dollheads on the Colorado bill because we’ve been able to watch their story unfold pretty much in real time.

When we interviewed them ahead of Rebellion in 2025, Angela told us that playing LOUD WOMEN Fest London had opened up opportunities for them to play across England, including Rebellion. Samantha talked about the friendships they’d made along the way.

That, really, is exactly what we want LOUD WOMEN Fest to do.

Not just put ten bands on a poster, but connect people, scenes and cities and see what grows from it.

So having Angela, Samantha and Austin travel from Las Vegas to Boulder to join another brand new LOUD WOMEN Fest feels extremely right.
