Los Angeles-based artist CASANDRA releases her latest album, ISLA TRANQUILITA. Building on the foundation created with her ISLA TRANQUILITA EP released this May, the LP features seven brand new tracks that expand upon the EP’s exploration of heritage, healing and self-discovery.
Translating to “little island of peace”, ISLA TRANQUILITA is a tribute to CASANDRA’s late great-aunt Teresa, who offered her comfort throughout her childhood. The album also serves as a celebration of CASANDRA’s Cuban roots, weaving together themes of remembrance, identity and personal growth.
Blending contemporary R&B with Cuban soul, alt-pop and electronic influences, ISLA TRANQUILITA invites listeners deeper into CASANDRA’s world, creating a space for everyone to discover their own “little island of peace.”
