As part of Everywhere All At Once – a nationwide celebration of grassroots live music featuring 1,200 gigs across 500 venues, powered by the National Lottery and the Music Venue Trust – Kick Out The Jams brought together French Toast and Bridget. for a gloriously sweaty Friday night at Soho’s tiny Blue Posts.
Sadly French Toast only managed one song before sound problems brought their set to an abrupt end. Maybe the London heatwave had melted something in the PA. Maybe the gremlins picked the worst possible night to strike. Either way, it was heartbreaking. Ever since they became instant LOUD WOMEN favourites with their brilliant live session on LOUD WOMEN Radio, we’ve been counting down the days until they play LOUD WOMEN Fest London this September. If one song could leave us wanting that much more, imagine a whole set.

Thankfully, they’re clearly not letting it slow them down. Tonight they’re heading to Deptford Junction for what they’ve described as “the craziest lineup ever”, determined to prove South London can hit just as hard as the north. We have a feeling they’ll do just fine.
The Blue Posts may be small, but what a perfect place to catch bands like these before they really start fucking shit up on much bigger stages. In a perfect soup of sunscreen and sweat, the room felt ready to boil over.
Bridget, meanwhile, reminded us exactly why she’s LOUD WOMEN family forever. A LOUD WOMEN Fest London alumna, she seemed to spend almost as much time in the pit as she did on stage. One minute shredding guitar, the next throwing herself into the crowd with everyone else. Everybody’s best friend in a mosh pit, Bridget was a seriously powerful presence in the absolute volcano of a room.
